Osmar aimed to usher in the new era of mambo in a jubilant fashion. Their philosophy is having the best time you can possibly have while learning the latest salsa moves.
  • Alejandro Rey
    has established himself and team Paso De Oro as a premier Bachata force from Los Angeles. Paso de Oro has entertained thousands across the United States with a championship style of "Urban Bachata", a powerful fusion of Hip Hop, R&B and Bachata. With captivating chemistry onstage and undeniable swagger, Paso de Oro defines the term stage presence as soon as they set foot onto any dance floor. Their Bachata workshops continue to draw big numbers and Alejandro's Lap Dance workshop titled "4 The Ladies" continues to be a Congress favorite attracting hundreds of participants at every Bachata Festival.

  • Abel Pena is the current undefeated 3X ESPN World Salsa Champion, major event being televised world wide. He has also won LA’s 2005 Club Mayan Salsa Competition in addition to Conga Room Competition, and has also toured Europe, Asia, North-South-Central America. Abel is also coaching future competitors and will continue to travel the world throughout 2010 promoting LA Salsa on 1.

    Abel began his Dance studies in his native homeland Mexico City at the Age of 15. Despite his advanced age, he was already quite athletic as a child he played swimming, running and soccer. His Father was his best inspiration in life and also a Dance professional who had a great influence merging in to the Salsa World. He learned numerous of dance styles like Guaracha, Cumbia, Paso doble, Tango, Jazz, Ballroom, etc. He immigrated to Los Angeles California US homeland of great talented dancers. Abel started social dancing in numerous and famous clubs around Los Angeles area, his professional inspiration became stronger when he saw his father Abel Sr having a dance show. At the age of 18 he was introduced to Salsa, He started dancing professionally in 1998 when he realized that Salsa became his passion and truly nature of expression.

  • Mambofodadáz
    Mambofodadáz is a dance company comprised of power mambo couple Micah Boon and Kathy Cabrera. The two have taught and performed across the United States and abroad, gaining a wealth of experience in the salsa and mambo dance scene.
  • Arturo Perez
    Born with Salsa in his DNA, Arturo Perez, son of Philadelphia’s most respected DJ, MC and Radio Personality Maria Del Pilar Morales, brings a Jibaro style flavor to the salsa industry. Salsa has been a part of Arturo’s life since a very young age thanks to his mother, but not until 2005 did he begin to take formal classes and develop an understanding for proper salsa etiquette. Indulged with the love and passion for Latin musicality, Arturo quickly learned how to express this love, after years of suppression, by way of the artistic movement in Salsa. Proud to say that Salsa runs through his Puerto Rican bloodstream, Arturo ‘El Jibarito’ Perez loves to share his passion with others, as others have done so graciously to him.
  • Clifton Stennett & Patrick Danquah

    Clifton’s love of dance and music has been evident from a very young age. His countless involvements and wide range of experiences with both singing and dancing have given Clifton a unique understanding of musicality, rhythm, and fluidity.

    Patrick's passion for dance is obvious in and out of the studio. A seasoned dancer, Patrick has been trained in various styles of dance including Salsa, Hip Hop, Jazz and Afro-Cuban. His diverse dance background has assisted him in incorporating all styles of dance into his own unique style. Professional certification as a Personal Trainer coupled with a Bachelor of Arts degree have enabled Patrick to understand how the body functions, and how to teach others effectively about the muscle movements that dance requires.

  • Joe Figueroa
    A professional dancer since his teens, Joe Figueroa has pushed the boundaries of the dance world with his exciting and innovative style of Latin Dance.
    Joe began his career as a professional dancer for MTV Studios, and his unique style and talent quickly secured his reputation in New York City. Joe's extensive background in Freestyle, Pop and Hip Hop ultimately led him to work with legendary choreographer Jamie King, who has choreographed for an impressive array of stars including Britney Spears, Shakira and Madonna.

  • Zeke Ruvalcaba
    Zeke is a Mexican/Chicago native who has maintained the spirit of Bachata alive in Chicago for the past 5 years. Thanks to Latin Rhythms Dance Studio where Zeke is a full-time instructor/studio manager, he has been able to create an extensive Bachata curriculum that has taken Bachata to a whole other level. His creative approach in teaching has much to do with his degree in Dance and Secondary Education. Zeke has trained in Ballet, Modern and Jazz and specializes in choreography/instruction, in addition to spinning, styling and body movement. One of his strongest assets apart from his energetic and humorous personality is his ability to follow as well as he leads. On the dance floor, Zeke captivates people with his unique flamboyant style no matter what the role hes takes on the floor. Zeke has been the artistic director of his pride and joy, Estilo Dance Company and his high school group A.B.C of Lane Tech H.S. for the past five years. In addition, Zeke currently founded the Bachata All-Stars, the first Bachata dance team in the Mid-West. If teaching and directing all three groups isn't enough, Zeke's is also an aspiring Costume and Evening Wear designer having created many costumes for local and national dance teams and couples. Soon, Zeke hopes to launch his Phy-Zeke collection.
  • Kathy Reyes grew up developing an incredible passion and talent for dancing. She began her dance training at El Camino College in 2007. It was within this program that she discovered the intensity and adrenaline transmitted through her performance. In 2008 she became a member of Tropical Rhythm Dance Company directed by Luis Aguilar. He assisted Kathy in improving her skills and expanding her ability as a performer. During her involvement as a member of Tropical Rhythm, she had the opportunity to tour for various salsa congresses and competitions. The following year, she began to express herself with the passionate and tender feeling that Bachata transmits throughout her soul. Kathy went full force and began to acquire national attention after winning her first Bachata competition in Los Angeles, and obtaining second place in Bachata at the World Latin Dance, 2010. She truly captivates the hearts of many when she sets foot onto the dance floor and is defined as “Short, Smooth and Sexy” [SSS]! No doubt that her talent is a true gift from God and a blessing for others: dancing with the feet is one thing but dancing with the heart takes one to a whole different level.
  • Jo Quinones & Vince Torres

    Vince Torres aka " Vince The Bachata Prince" has been dancing bachata for about 4 yrs now and is the director of Bachata Urbana Dance Co. He has mastered many different bachata styles such as dominican, modern, and his most common style URBAN! Urban Bachata is best described as strong emphasis on Hip Hop, R&B, extreme body movement and most of all strong musicality. He was given the name "Vince the Bachata Prince" by Eddie the salsa freak, a salsa legend. Vince has opened concerts for artists such as Monchy y Alexandra, Extreme and Andy Andy. Vince looks forward to some day opening for his Favorite Bachata Band K.O.B "Aventura" Recently you can find Vince touring with different dance companies performing many dance genres all over the U.S. Vince hopes to continue dancing bachata and helping the dance grow to a level many never believed. LONG LIVE BACHATA Y LA BACHATA URBANA!!! Jo Quinones was Raised in the Caribbean, she has been surrounded by dance forms all of her life and began dancing ballet, Puerto Rican folklore and jazz at the early age of 5.

    A versatile artist, Jo continued her study of dance by training in ballroom and Latin dance forms before becoming a professional in 1997. Soon after becoming an instructor, she managed the studio for two years. After leaving Arthur Murray Dance Studio she became an independent instructor holding group and private lessons all around the Inland Empire. Her passion for acting also led her to become a member of the prestigious American Academy of Dramatic Arts.

    She is currently an Assistant Director in the Otero Dance Co. In June of 2002, she formed Afeenix Dance Co., an energetic group successfully dominating the Inland Empire. Her stage and television credits include salsa congresses in Los Angeles, San Francisco, Chicago and Puerto Rico, and special appearances at the Asian International Telecommunications Expo, Telemundo, Univision, Caesars Palace in Las Vegas and CBS. She has been an invited guest performer at Cancun's Club Med and South Carolina's Sea Brook Island.

  • DJ Jose "La Salsa" Diaz
    Yamulee Pro-Team dancer and member of the Quisqueya Mambo Connection Jose knows his music. Known for balancing the hard sounds of Mambo and Dura with the danceble swing of Classica and Pachanga. Jose keeps them dancing all night long.
